When the bed is extended, it measures 88.2 inches from the wall, and a clearance of 30-36 inches around the open bed is recommended for ease of access. The cabinet must be anchored to a wall with a minimum ceiling height of 87 inches, and the product should not be used for children or pets under 50 pounds (22.7 kg).
The installation process requires two people and involves attachment to wood studs or masonry, removal of the baseboard, and drilling into the floor (if disassembly is required, holes may be covered with baseboards 0.5 inches or thicker).
